Be aware of puppy scams
Another Doggone Puppy Scam
Scammers using Arkansas addresses to fool buyers

The BBB of Arkansas has received two complaints in the past week regarding the online purchase of puppies. One complaint is from North Wildwood, NJ. The second is from Springfield, TN. The cities the scammers claim to be from are Augusta, AR and Benton, AR respectively. Both complainants have wired advance money for the purchase and shipping of puppies. Though this office has only received two complaints so far, the extent of the problem nationally prompted the Arkansas Attorney Generals office to become involved earlier this year. Information from that office can be found at www.ag.arkansas.gov

Jason Stewart with the Arkansas Attorney General’s office added the following information to help identify outside the country emails which, on the surface, appear to be local based upon the content of the email.

“It appears the scammers are also using  “.tl” domain extensions are country codes for East Timor, which is in South East Asia.  The domain of “.cc” is the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, which are in the Indian Ocean halfway between Australia and Sri Lanka.  Typically, scammers register their “scam site” domains in regions where they are located.  As you know, anyone can obtain phone numbers with particular area codes of their choice.  This is typical of these types of scams. So, even though it appears you are calling a local area code, your call is most likely routed to the scammer located anywhere in the world.

I feel confident saying these scammers are not in AR…especially since your complainants said they wired money outside of the country.”

I have been hearing of some horrible puppy scams lately.  These horrible people are very smart and know how to draw you in on their little puppy scam.  You can find these scams anywhere on the internet.  Weather it be with a bank, credit card, merchandise of anykind.  But especally when it comes to these presicous little yorkies for sale.  These little puppies are precious and you want one now.  But funds are low and the yorkie price is high.  Don't be taken in by the scam of the yorkie being free and way to cheap.  If it is free and you only have to pay for shipping, it is a scam.  If it is way to cheap and pay a really expensive shipping fee it is probably a scam also.  Never purchase a puppy out of the United States.  There are plenty of breeders in Arkansas and all over the US that has very good quality yorkie puppies or other dogs that you might be looking for.

When you go to start looking for a, lets say a yorkie puppy, start local.  That is always the best way to find the little yorkie puppy that you are looking for.  If you can't find that breeder that you like or the puppy that you like then spread out within driving distance so you can see the puppy and their parents.  That is a sure way that you are going to get what you are looking for.
When you have done this and still haven't found that just right puppy, then go to the internet and google up yorkies for sale or yorkie puppies for sale and find a website that has lots of information about yorkie puppies and their parents posted so you can take a look at them also.  Make sure that they have plenty of pictures and video's of the puppies.  Ask about face book.  You should be able to see lots of pictures and videos of past puppies and the current ones  posted.  Make sure that the breeder has a contract, a yorkie puppy heath report from the vet, stating the condition of the puppy, helpful tips on potty training and low sugar.  Low sugar is something that can happen to any small breed dog.  You should know the signs.  The breeder should be able to advise you before you get your puppy that this could happen and what you would need to do if this should occure.

Please be careful when trying to find that small yorkie that you are wanting to add to your family.

Don't give the scammers your hard earned money.  Buy from a responsible breeder and get what you want, A Yorkie Puppy.

My face book is Elainea's Yorkies.  Go there to see lots and lots of pictures and videos.
