Many people do not understand what it means to be a follower of Christ.  They assume it's just a matter of thinking the right thoughts about Jesus, doing the right things and avoiding the wrong things.  They need to understand that foundational to being a Christian is having a personal relationship with Jesus that changes them from the inside out.  Then in the way they live they need to reflect the profound influence Christ has on their lives.

Quit dwelling on the negative things people have said about you. You don't have to have everyone's approval. You have God's approval.

If you're thanking God for what you do have, you won't have time to focus on what you don't have.

For our treasures are laid up in Heaven.

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come (2 Corinthians 5:17)

If left to ourselves, we would be totally lost.  But "thanks be to God for His indescribable gift"  (2 Corinthians 9:15) He rescured us.  While it may take some time to clean up all the dirt and grime, He is faithful and will complete His good work in us (Philippians 1:6)

Steps of Faith:  Father, thank You for transforming me into the image of Your Son.  Do Your good work in me.
